The Connecticut Store to Sell New Genealogy Book — Google Your Family Tree
Waterbury, CT — November 3, 2008 — FamilyLink.com, Inc. announced today that their new genealogy book, Google Your Family Tree, will be available for purchase at The Connecticut Store, a unique retail outlet serving residents of central Connecticut. The store is located in downtown Waterbury CT and sells products manufactured in or originating within the state of Connecticut. Waterbury is also the hometown of the books author, Daniel M. Lynch. The announcement coincides with a series of lectures and appearances by Lynch to discuss the contents of his new book.
"The Connecticut Store is a unique retail outlet serving the many residents of central Connecticut," said Dan Lynch, author of Google Your Family Tree and native of Waterbury. "Generations of families with ties to the Greater Waterbury area have wonderful memories of shopping at the Howland-Hughes stores, now home to The Connecticut Store.” Shipments of the book are expected to begin next week to more than one thousand family history enthusiasts who have pre-ordered the book online.
Hank Paine, the third generation to manage this family owned retail operation, was enthusiastic about adding the book to his selection of Connecticut merchandise. "Waterbury has an interesting history and there are many people in the Greater Waterbury region interested in genealogy and local history — this book should do very well, especially as we head into the holiday season."
Lynch began his career in the technology industry in 1984 and has also been involved in genealogy research for nearly 30 years. A frequent lecturer and writer, he began sharing his Google tips with fellow genealogists at the local and national level shortly after the search engine launched ten years ago. As the capabilities of Google have expanded, so too have its applications for use by family historians. "Google is easily the most important tool available for anyone engaged in family history research," noted Lynch.
The book is 352 pages and sells for $34.95 (USD). To learn more about the book, you can visit: http://www.GoogleYourFamilyTree.com
